全球過敏原和哮喘歐洲卓越網(wǎng)絡(luò)(GA2LEN,比利時布魯塞爾)的合作成員已經(jīng)設(shè)計了一種新型皮膚皮膚針刺試驗盤，用以在全歐盟范圍之內(nèi)研究過敏原的流行情況。

這種針刺試驗盤可以評估18種吸入過敏原的致敏情況，能夠?qū)W洲的過敏性鼻炎和哮喘患者未檢測出的吸入性過敏原的發(fā)生頻率，提供標(biāo)準(zhǔn)數(shù)據(jù)。

GA2LEN協(xié)調(diào)員、Ghent大學(xué)耳鼻喉科的Paul van Cauwenberge教授說：“當(dāng)前在歐洲，我們面臨著吸入性過敏原流行情況持續(xù)增加的難題。特別是最近幾年，發(fā)現(xiàn)花粉傳播變得更加嚴(yán)重。

GA2LEN由遍布?xì)W洲的25家大學(xué)診所、歐洲變態(tài)反應(yīng)學(xué)和臨床免疫學(xué)研究院（EAACI）、歐洲過敏和氣道疾病患者學(xué)會共同組成。該組織的目的是提高科研的質(zhì)量和整體性，涉及疾病的方方面面，最終降低全歐洲的過敏疾病和哮喘的負(fù)擔(dān)。這項最新研究得到了Schering-Plough公司的無限制資金資助。

Pan-European Surveillance of Allergens
 
The partners of the Global Allergy and Asthma European Network of Excellence (GA2LEN, Brussels, Belgium) have designed a new skin-prick test panel to study the prevalence of allergens throughout the European Union (EU).

The skin-prick panel assesses sensitization against 18 inhalant allergens, and will provide standardized data on the frequency of many under-detected inhalant allergens in European patients suffering from allergic rhinitis and asthma.

“We are currently facing an unbroken trend of increasing prevalence of inhalant allergies all over Europe,” said Prof. Paul van Cauwenberge, the coordinator of GA2LEN, from the University of Ghent, department of ear, nose, and throat (ENT). “Especially in the last years, it has been observed that the pollen flight has become more intense.”

GA2LEN consists of 25 university clinics spread throughout Europe as well as the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) and the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients Associations (EFA). The objective of the organization is to enhance the quality and integration of research, address all aspects of the disease, and eventually to decrease the burden of allergy and asthma throughout Europe. The new study is supported by an unrestricted grant from Schering-Plough (Kenilworth, NJ, USA).
