Portable Ultrasound System
 
A new portable ultrasound system combines excellent image quality, workflow advancements, and color Doppler capabilities to meet daily clinical needs in a variety of clinical settings, including general imaging, internal medicine, and obstetrics/gynecology.

The all-digital Sonoline G40, developed by Siemens Medical Solutions (Erlangen, Germany), is the newest addition to the Siemens range of ultrasound systems. “The G40 is the latest example of how Siemens is integrating best-in-class imaging technology and clinical workflow advancements into high value systems that are responsive to clinicians’ needs,” explained Arnd Kaldowski, vice president of worldwide sales and marketing, Siemens Medical Solutions Ultrasound Division.

The ultrasound system’s intuitive user interface allows clinicians to provide comprehensive, diagnostic ultrasound exams to more patients in less time. The DIMAQ-IP integrated workstation includes a built-in, CD read/write drive for cost-effective output and archiving of exam data. In addition, embedded connectivity systems allow simple integration into digital imaging and communications in medicine (DICOM)-enabled networks and PC-based workstations.
